I write at least one poem every single day, and have done so since September 2014. Here are the poems I wrote over the last week.
6/20/22:
Going Down to the Town
Going down to the town
That stands for all ages
Never gets shitty
Never becomes a city
Just is white bread toasted
The kind of toasting
Where no burn happens
Just gets dry on the outside
Soft on the middle
I like to walk into the stores
With not much in them and which sell
Items on consignment
I like to feel like all the stars
Are in alignment
As I sip a cherry pop
And wish there were some crime element
I should start killing people
With a knife wrapped in napkin
So the blood absorbs as it comes out
I think as I mow my lawn
For the fortieth time
And my wife sips wine
Deep in the cool basement
The decor is pretty uncool
But the coldness is good
It feels like a finished
Basement should
This marriage
Is finished
6/21/22:
Thunderbirds
Thunderbirds
And footage of girls
I like to whirl
A car around the corner
Life is a hornier
Version of death
We can actually fuck here
It’s rather queer
To have a body
And use it
As I drink muscle cars
And drive beers
And abuse it
A fat pair of tits in the backseat
And the cigarette lighter pushed on
I just can’t wait
For the end of this date
So we can get it on
My t-shirt so white
It’s bright even in the night
My cock so hard
It’s practically in charge
As I evade the cops
And am at large
6/22/22:
Full of Peanuts
Ice cream in a place
Full of peanuts
I like to be nuts
And get in my time machine
And see how good things really were
Not just how good I remember them
But provably so
You don’t even need much dough
You can go back with pockets
Full of change
If you go back with bills
Printed after then they’d look strange
But change is usually old
Everyone remembers people growing up
Who paid for things in lots of change
They were time travelers too
6/23/22:
Lots of Money
Lots of money
On the floor
It’s for the whores
I don’t need to
Pick it up
I already
Picked them up
That’s how they got here
I bought a lot of beer
And candy they wanted candy
I asked them exactly
What they really wanted
In that moment
We were standing in the
Convenience store and I
Wanted a glimpse of them really
And one looked me dead in the eyes
With utmost sincerity
And said candy
And the others nodded
And I bought them one of every
Candy bar at the counter that
They pointed to
They haven’t touched
A single one
This whole time
It’s just been sex
And pleasing me
I wonder when
They’ll eat
6/24/22:
To Do in the Car
So much coke
To do in the car
I like to go far
By way of limousine
Right across the US
If I have to
They have to switch drivers
Or switch limos
At a certain point
Sometimes an entire different
Limousine service
It’s a fucking hassle
And I like to watch it happen
I like to wipe my mouth
With McDonalds napkins
They smell different
They smell like the bathroom there
And I’m a piece of shit
So it’s fitting
I like to offer the drivers
Nuggets and fries
I like to feel the air conditioner
And stare out at hot weather
And feel alive
I like to spend money
And one day die
6/25/22:
Cumming Deep Inside My Mind
Cumming deep inside my mind
It’s only right
But it takes time
Just a good thing to do
Instead of touching myself
Life is a shelf
Where I put all sorts of things
To collect dust
My penis is a must
Got to put it up there
Like a trophy
Real high where only
A basketball player could reach
So close to the ceiling
It might as well touch the sky
I was born to never
Truly be a guy
6/26/22:
There’s a Shoe
There’s a shoe
In the place to be
Out on the dance floor
It’s just a dinosaur
Anymore
Still and might as well
Be bones the strap
So rigid looking
Nobody is looking
For it or cares to walk
Properly seemingly
I just wish this
Song would ever end
As I drink olive juice
And try to blend in
With the decade
Sex is a charade
I’m here for the blood
That pumps into a heart
It is an art
To notice things and cart
Someone off to home
