Let Me Bring Out The Best In You
Getting good as a filmmaker can be a long and arduous process. Those who are naturally good at teaching themselves, and at spotting and correcting their own mistakes, stand a far greater, and faster, chance at excelling than those who struggle with doing that. However, even if you fall into the latter category, that doesn’t mean that all is lost—you can still become a great filmmaker one day, so long as you have guidance. That’s where I come in. If you want to become better as a filmmaker, and do so quickly and easily, then I would like to work with you.
There is nothing more expensive in life than wasted time. Far too often I see people making the same mistakes over and over again, trapped in a maze of their own progress as an artist—and worse, they feel like they’re somehow a failure if they don’t or can’t figure out everything for themselves. But it doesn’t have to be this way. There is a rich history in the arts, and in other areas, of those who are further along in their journey helping out those who are behind. That way, you make things a bit easier for the next generation, the next class—each new group, it taking less time for them to get good. But that only happens if people like me step up and make themselves available.
I have no desire to bankrupt you just because my know-how and experience is valuable and may save you decades of struggle. You can’t very well make films if all your money is going towards me teaching you. So, I will strictly be doing this work via donations. Pay what you want, pay what you can afford. For example, $50 might be a lot of money to someone, and the equivalent of a nickel to someone else. It’s all about what won’t break your bank, and what will still allow you the most finances to create your great works.
